About The Position

Perri's Leather is looking for a full time, highly motivated, detail oriented Sales Representative to work alongside of our existing marketing and accounting team. Perri's is a small company that operates on a national level, therefore all team members report directly to our founder and owner, Carla Perri. In fulfilling this position, Perri's hopes to further improve customer service, while increasing order volume and accounts.

Responsibilities in detail for this role:


  • Establish and manage a positive and profitable relationship with new accounts as necessary to meet sales budgets.
  • Working in conjunction with company programs and product lines, promoting according to company instructions.
  • Keep accounts informed of any outstanding backordered products and their expected arrival date.
  • Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans.
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, dealer request forms, and attending trade shows.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how specific products and services can meet these needs 
  • Help customers select products based on the customers’ needs and product specifications 
  • Emphasize product features based on the customers’ needs 
  • Answer customer questions about prices, availability, and product use
  • Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their purchases and to answer any questions or concern

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a self-motivated upbeat, candidate that can work both independently and in a small team setting. The candidate must be focused, organized and detail oriented. Training with systems and product will be provided, however an understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required. Horse knowledge is not a prerequisite but it is a plus..

Ideal Candidate Requirements and Skill Sets:

  • Available Full-time - approximately 40 hours per week with some flexibility
  • An outgoing and likable personality

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • The ability to sell product on value, not price
