About The Position

Perri's Leather is looking for a part time, highly motivated, detail oriented Customer Service Representative. Perri's is a small company that operates on a national level, therefore all team members report directly to our founder and owner, Carla Perri. In fulfilling this position, Perri's hopes to further improve customer care and order accuracy.

Responsibilities in detail for this role:

  • Manage incoming e-mails and address questions in a timely manner.
  • Manage daily orders received via phone, fax, e-mail or website by delegating or completing order entry as needed.
  • Receive and manage customer calls.
  • Communicate backorder status to clients.
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity reports, such as daily call reports and weekly work plans.
  • Help customers select products based on the customers’ needs and product specifications
  • Emphasize product features based on the customers’ needs
  • Answer customer questions about prices, product, availability, and product use

Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a self-motivated upbeat, candidate that can work both independently and in a small team setting. The candidate must be focused, organized and detail oriented. Training with systems and product will be provided, however an understanding of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required. Horse knowledge is not a prerequisite but it is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Requirements and Skill Sets: 

  • Commitment to approximately 20 hours per week with some flexibility
  • An outgoing and likable personality
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and operate new systems and applications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent focus and time management skills
  • High degree of self-motivation
  • Ability to effectively communicate to people at all levels
  • Able to work own your own initiative and as part of a team
